US-Präsident Donald Trump bemerkte in seiner Rede, Kavanaugh sei für unschuldig befunden worden. Kavanaugh selber betonte, er sei zu «gleichem Recht unter dem Gesetz» ergeben.

US President Donald Trump in remarks at the ceremony said Kavanaugh had been found "innocent" in the process.

Kavanaugh said he was devoted to "equal justice under law".
